Our story

Hello! My name is Pei-chi and I am the owner and founder of MIMI & SOSO. I started MIMI & SOSO in 2020 as a passion project during covid. MIMI stands for our fur baby Mia and SOSO stands for our second fur baby Sophie. I wanted to create a pet focused business that would be able to contribute back to the pet community via donations and charity. I started selling hand sewn bandanas and ran this ‘passion project’/’side business’ for 4 years while working a full time job in Corporate Finance. YTD - I have donated close to $8,000 to various rescues across Canada!

In 2022, I started transforming the business from hand sewn bandanas to making healthy, freeze dried single ingredient pet treats. I had no idea it would grow into the business it is today. In the summer of 2024, I decided to leave my corporate career and pursue making this passion project a full time job with the help of my husband and support of my parents. I am so excited to see where this journey takes us!

My husband Jesse is typically helping out behind the scenes at in person markets. He assists with loading up my vehicle, setting up and taking down. He also brings me food & water! Aside from that, he is the emotional and financial support behind MIMI & SOSO. I wouldn't be able to pursue this business full time without him

My name is Pei-chi and I founded this business in 2020. We are now entering our 5th year in business! 🥳 I am the face behind this account, the designer behind our website and packaging, the human behind the table at in person markets

Mia & Sophie's grandpaw - my dad. The force behind all the kitchen and prep since we expanded the business in summer of 2024. A retired chef, he ensures all the food we make is up to standard with his amazing knife skills 👨🏻‍🍳
